Fort Worth, TX — PFP Enterprises LLC is recalling more than 7,000 pounds of a variety of beef product after production and packaging lacked federal inspection.
The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety Division says the frozen and fresh beef items were produced on March 23 and 24. They were shipped to locations in Alabama, Arkansas, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas and Wisconsin. The products subject to recall have the establishment number "Est. 34715" inside the USDA mark of inspection.
Federal officials are concerned some products may be in consumers’ freezers. Consumers who have these products at home are urged to throw them away or return them to the place of purchase. The problem was discovered March 13 when inspection personnel reviewed company records and determined there was no inspection on March 24.
At this time, there have been no confirmed reports of any illness related to these products. Anyone concerned about a reaction should contact their healthcare provider.
